Dantelo today announced the release of NetView an integrated presence watcher within the latest release of NetPresence. NetView provides mediation of rich presence information right onto any smartphone and any browser available on the world market.

NetPresence is a cloud server solution which extracts rich device presence from any type of telephony network and especially mobile networks and makes this presence information available to any type of watcher application being Microsoft Lync, other (IP) PBX's, Web browsers and now also smartphones.

With NetView users can now log on to the NetPresence cloud server via their mobile device and receive rich presence from any of their subscribed friends, family and colleagues.

The whole idea of NetView is to make communication much more efficient when on the move. Now mobile phone users can lookup the availability of their buddies before attempting to call them.

In doing so users no longer risk unsuccesful calls ending up on a voicemail systems or spending unnecessary time hoping the other party will answer.

"NetView is here to increase personal effeciency while at the same time increase enterprise staff productivity. First initial studies indicate that NetView can increase the productivity of enterprise staff with up to 8 %. Turning this into money means a real cost saver." says managing director of Dantelo Kent Jakobsen.

He continues noting that "Now that the world of communications is going in the direction of flatrate, we see that e,g, voicemail systems are now becoming more of a burden than a helper. Flatrate now forces operators to look at ways and means of reducing termination of calls in their networks in order to lower running and expansion costs and thats excatly what NetView will do alongside with reducing churn rates".

Dantelo today announced the release of a new version of NetPresence supporting integration of mobile presence with Microsoft Lync.

NetPresence is a fully cloud based server solution which remotely extracts mobile presence information such as attach, detach, roaming, busy, idle and LAI in real-time from any mobile network and mediates this information safely into a large number of third party systems

With NetPresence for Lync, telecom- carriers and service providers can now offer a great and fully cloud based enhancement service to their enterprise customers using Microsoft Lync.

Enterprises subscribing to this service see a clear uptake in productivity of their staff as well as provide a better customer response.

Presence, a very important cornerstone in modern Unified Communications solutions today, is already an important feature of Microsoft Lync.

NetPresence adds the mobile presence extension to Lync thereby providing mobility services of mobile users to the total enterprise solution. The Presence status within Lync can now also be updated based on the mobile phone status of a user.

If a user of Lync becomes busy on his mobile phone NetPresence changes the colouring of the user to busy with the announcement of "Mobile Phone Busy" in the status field.Furthermore if a user of Lync switches off his mobile phone, the status field will indicate "Mobile phone off".

Apart from support for delivery of mobile presence to most Legacy- and IP -PBX's, MS-OCS, Cisco UC and others, NetPresence now also supports Microsoft Lync.

Dantelo NetPresence™

The Dantelo NetPresence™ server gathers information directly from the GSM-network regarding the presence of a subscriber’s mobile phone.  Because the information is gathered directly from the GSM-network, and not from the mobile phone handset, the solution works for any GSM mobile phone subscribed on the Unify Mobile network, independent of brand, type or age. There is no need to install software on the phone and it even works if the phone is outside 3G coverage.

MobileStatus™ by BluePosition: reliable, easy, and convenient

BluePosition has developed the MobileStatus™ solution which takes the GSM network-information from the Dantelo NetPresence™ server and publishes the presence information of the subscribing mobile phone users.  With the BluePosition MobileStatus™ solution, Switchboard-operators, receptionists and other colleagues within the enterprise can see on their own PC desktop whether a mobile phone of a co-worker within the same business- network is available or busy or is switched on or off.

MobileStatus™ and Microsoft™ Lync Server 2010

Presence and availability are topics which are very important to Microsoft™. Inspired by its client’s wishes, the company is constantly working on solutions to unlock presence data. The newest version of Microsoft™ Office Communications Server has been introduce in October 2010 and is called Microsoft™ Lync Server 2010. This solution collects and interprets data from different sources such as Outlook and Office Communicator in order to give users information on the presence and availability of their colleagues. MobileStatus™ from BluePosition has been developed in close co-operation with Microsoft, in order to integrate seamlessly with the Microsoft™ Lync Server 2010 systems. This means that the status of the mobile phone subscriber (on/off, busy, idle) is shown in all applications using the presence data from the Microsoft™ Lync Server such as Outlook, Office Communicator and SharePoint.
